LIFE PHILOSOPHY

PERSONAL LIFE

In his personal life, Lewis has explored every opportunity that has been presented to him and, along with hard work, has capitalized on those opportunities. He believes everyone deserves those same opportunities to succeed or be a better version of themselves and make sure that one mistake shouldn’t define a person.

Lewis and Karen have always worked as a team in supporting their community. Their son Logan is an English teacher in Japan and their foster-daughter Haley Green is a student at UVA Wise.

Early in his life, he learned life’s lessons from his Mom, a school teacher, and his Dad, who was in law enforcement. As parents, they pushed him to always be better today than you were yesterday.

IN ACADEMICS & PRACTICE

College brought other opportunities, such as playing football at the University of Tennessee. As a player, Lewis learned the lessons of teamwork and that we should give back to our community in every way we can.

Later in life, as a prosecutor, Lewis passionately sought Justice for All, always keeping the victims and their families in mind as he sought to hold people accountable for their actions and not some other factor.
